Life with the Wallaces

24-25 Months

Yep this post is very late but as I always say better late than never. Time has really gotten away from me lately. I always enjoy writing these posts because it makes me remember and reflect on the month that we just went through. I still haven’t decided what I will do for the updates from here on out but Ill figure it out sooner rather than later. I figured since I’m closer to 25 months I mine as well include that month as well {yes only 2 days away from 25 months-oh my!}.

All Measurements were from her 2 yr old appointment on May 30
: 28.6 lbs  (75th percentile)
Height: 37 in.  (99th percentile)
Clothes: All clothes are 2T, except for some dresses we have had to do 3T due to length
Shoes: size 8
Diapers: Size 5 /Pull-ups (2T-3T)

we love stickers! Sticking them on your nose is lots of fun

Sleep: She was doing pretty good on sleeping during 24 months, then we took away the paci and all sleep schedules have gone out the door!
Naps: depends on the day. Same with above, paci has messed everything up. She would take pretty good naps (about 2 hrs). Some days she takes naps, other days we dont get in a nap at all.
Teeth: All teeth are in! No more teething!
Traveling: Destin, FL
Talking: She can now repeat just about anything we ask her to say. Its still a 2 year old vocabulary with a few things she cant pronounce exactly correctly, but most times I can tell what she wants to say.
Sick: none  (Thank you summer!)

Favorite Activities
: playing in her pool (or anything that has to do with water her height-no big pool)
Favorite Books:The foot book, Dr. Brown can Moo can you?
Favorite Foods/Drinks: Chicken nuggets, applesauce, blackberries, green beans, oranges, waffles
Foods disliked: depends on the day-one day she loves something, the next day she probably will hate it
Favorite App: Talking Ben (she could literally play this app for a while)
Dislikes: getting water in her eyes, vacuum, not getting her way, sleeping, leaving the park or the swing, not getting the iPad

talking to your baby is also a necessity in our household

It seems like the past two months have been very little new things, but she seems to be growing more and more each day into a real little girl instead of a baby. Its hard to me to believe that 2 years have flown by so quickly (yes Im sure Ive said this 5 billion times already!).

She really has gotten a true independence on doing any and everything. It doesnt matter whether its putting on her diaper, clothes, or just fixing a drink. She wants to do it all by herself which is very hard for mommy to accept. How did she get big enough to do all this stuff?!

Morgan loves to think that she needs to do everything just like mommy and daddy. If we are eating, she must have exactly what we have. When I do my hair, she mocks me and has to do it exactly. Putting on deodorant, she must have some too!

The one big thing that was a huge change was the no paci. We both said that once she turns two, the paci is gone. We stuck to it but its been hard, hard with the sleep. I will have to write an entire post just on that one day.

Its all about Minnie Mouse at our house, which is why she of course had to have a Minnie 2nd party! We fix Minnie pancakes, watch Minnie, and then to top it all off we wear big girl Minnie pull-ups and have a Minnie potty (which we don’t think is cool to use yet).

I love you sweet girl and I still cant get over you are over 2 years old now!
