Nashville Trip-Part 2

We started out the second day at our all time favorite restaurant Monells. Just make sure you are never on any type of diet when you go-its fabulous! You sit at a big table with people you dont know and eat breakfast. Its devine. This would be my all time favorite pick of restaurant for anyone going to Nashville. You just cant go to Nashville without visiting.

After Monells we headed to the hotel, got ready and then headed to  see our old house that we still own and are renting out as well as a trip to Gaylord (which includes ICE).

While we went to look at our house (and make sure that it had not burned down or anything crazy), we stopped by the park that was in our old neighborhood. Morgan had a blast and did not want to leave.

After heading to the playground she crashed out in the car on the way to the hotel. It didnt last long but hey a little nap is better than nothing. We hung out at the hotel for a while and then headed over to Demos to eat dinner (ah how I miss this place-just awesomeness in every bite!)

Then we headed to ICE at Gaylord Opryland. Its an amazing thing but its 9 degrees and you get these huge parka jackets to wear. The only downfall of it?! Its $25. I think its a bit costly but it definitely is a pretty cool experience. Morgan was so cold that she didnt really enjoy it much. Of course the picture of her sliding down the ICE slide was just hilarious I must admit.

Everything in ICE is made out of ICE (hence the name). Its amazing to see what ICE will really create. The theme this year was Madagascar.

All the different sections of ICE.

our trip concluded with a trip to the Gaylord Opryland hotel (that was within walking distance of ICE-its all connected). They have an amazing Christmas tree that is in the inside and of course we had to take our picture in front of it. Morgan of course did not want to have anything to do with picture taking-she wanted to run, run and more of it.

She got to get on the escalator for the first time ever to go see the big Christmas tree.
Then Morgan wanted to look over the ledge to see what was below (it was the little river and huge Christmas tree)
After going around the hotel Morgan had enough and we headed back to the hotel. She wasn’t quite ready to go to sleep so we stayed up and rang in the New Year. Then we quickly went to bed shortly afterwards.

The next day we headed back on New Years Day. Before we left we headed to Barnes and Noble to wear off some energy and get a new toy. This toy was wonderful-kept her entertained for quite some time!
She wanted to make sure that she got every little detail right of course 🙂 If you are going on any length of trip I would highly recommend one-its wonderful!
This concludes our trip to Nashville.

  1. That ICE place looks incredible!! But, I do agree that $25 is a little pricey, I’m sure it was worth every penny to Morgan having so much fun.

What a nice trip… I am so jealous, I feel like we need a little getaway! Hopefully, soon.
