Jesse ladders

This weekend we made our first craft. This craft was for the Jesse tree for advent. I thought they turned out ok because neither one of us have an ounce of craftiness but I hope with Morgan it will get better!

We had to make 38 Jesse ladders for day 6. This project we partnered with our church & we had 38 people join in. Now anyone can count probably is saying but there is not 38 days…right? Well the harder days people split.

What we used:
Craft sticks (two different sizes one for the outside & one for the steps)
Wood glue
Ribbon (we used red for Christmas)
Spray glitter

Put wood glue on two long pieces three times. Place carefully & do not move them. It takes 30 minutes for wood glue to form properly. After that spray with glitter (if desired). Then attach ribbons. We put them together with wood glue to hold stronger.

  1. This looks neat, can you explain a little more about what you are doing and why? I’ve been looking for some kind of advent thing to make a tradition for our family.
