New Park

This weekend we went to the brand new park that is within 5 minutes of our house. This park was open before and was pretty nice but nothing like it is now. They tore the entire park down in mid April-right before summer and all the kids wanted to play at the park. I thought many times why in the world would they do that?! Well I’m glad they did now but this summer while I was home and wanted to go to the park it was a little drive to one (15-20 minutes to one). Granted it still wasn’t a far drive but not as convenient as the new one.

The park opened up Friday at 1 pm (yes kind of strange for a grand opening) and then I think by Saturday every kid in the area had come to the park to play on it. It was CRAZY how many kids visited the park. I know it was probably because it was brand new but still I never imagined as many people as there were.

The underneath part of the playground is recycled tire instead of sand that Ive seen at many of the parks.

Morgan kept staring at the kid next to us and giving evil looks-it was quite hilarious.

Morgan was not to sure about this but she insisted on getting up on it. You can see the big kid area behind us which is where the majority of the kids went. The smaller kid area was not nearly as crowded.

Morgan played mainly in the 0-2 year part but occasionally ventured off to the 2-5 year old part as well. The 5-12 year old part we tried to stay clear of because it was pretty busy.
