Life with the Wallaces

>Hello, my name is Amber.  My husband, Chad, and I live in Mississippi and have recently celebrated the birth of our first child, our daughter Morgan. Our story is simple, but we wouldn’t say it isn’t special.

We met in 2000 while we both attended Mississippi State University. We began dating, and three years later we were married. We stayed in small town Starkville while I finished my master’s degree, and then found ourselves in the big city – Nashville, Tennessee.

While in Nashville, Chad worked in corporate communications and I worked at Vanderbilt University. While we both enjoyed living in Nashville, God opened up opportunities back in Mississippi that were too good to pass up.

A return to the Hospitality State brought with it two new careers, a new house, and an awesome new church family. The next logical thing was to start a family, right? We began trying in 2008. God had other plans, and after a very challenging couple of years that strengthened our faith and marriage, we welcomed Morgan Elizabeth on May 28, 2010.

Chad and I enjoy a lot of the same things. We’re both technology geeks (I teach computer science and he works in IT development), we both enjoy sports, especially basketball (March Madness is the greatest three weeks of the year), and the night we met, Dave Matthews Band’s Under the Table and Dreaming played in the background. Some ten years later, we have been to several concerts together in different parts of the country.

We were made for each other, as the old saying goes.
